A few other updates:-

> Tracy & Jacky have run 2 Taster sessions over the last month,

> We are helping one of our beekeeper's sons develop beekeeping as his skill for the Duke of Edinburgh Silver award.  It wasn't something we'd thought about but is a good use of the Sunday morning sessions at the Training Apiary.

> 4 graduates from the Training Apiary took their BBKA Basic Assessment on 24 June.  This follows sessions to study the syllabus through the winter months and practical experience at the hives from April onwards.

We are about 50 members interested in bees and beekeeping mainly in the area surrounded by Biggin Hill, Tatsfield, Oxted, Edenbridge, Hever, Bough Beech and Brasted.

We meet during the winter months in Westerham usually for lectures by visiting specialists and our own members. During the active beekeeping season we meet for demonstrations by experienced beekeepers in our members’ apiaries.

If you are interested in bees or beekeeping you are welcome to attend any of our meetings. Visit the Meetings and Events page for details of the programme and where we meet.

If you are interested in learning more about bees and how to get started with bees, visit our page on Getting Started.

The Local Honey page gives some useful information about local honey and lists sources of local honey for sale in our area.

For advice or help to deal with a swarm, go to our page on Swarms.
