In June 16th 2000, under the threat of execution, in the Panamanian jungle - a place far from home, Tom opened his diary and began plans for a garden which would contain plants from around the globe planted in their respective continents of origin.

Tom Hart Dyke's talk will be about the flower power World Garden at Lullingston Castle, his plant hunting trips and experience with bees as a gardener.

Tom's garden is a magnet for the local bee population - so much so that he is regularly asked whether he has hives on site.
