As reported in the Healthy Bees Quarterly Newsletter for October, the Project Management Board has agreed that raising husbandry standards, through education and training of beekeepers, is a key priority for implementing the Healthy Bees Plan.

This year the season began on April 7th for the SE team of inspectors. As is usual, it was another busy year in the South East with a total of 2923 colonies/550 apiaries inspected during the season. Alan Byham.
I would like to thank all the beekeepers that have taken the trouble to respond to my request for honey crop and price statistics. This year I have had the most responses ever (125) and that makes some of the averages more realistic. Alan Byham.
