Hard Life

To collect a pound of honey a bee might have to fly a distance equivalent to twice round the world. This is likely to involve more than 10,000 flower visits on perhaps 500 foraging trips.
A worker honeybee in summer lives only 6 to 8 weeks from the time she hatches as an adult bee. Before that, it takes just 3 weeks for her to develop from an egg.

Annual General Meeting 2017 - Notice and Agenda

The Annual General Meeting will be held at Lenham Community Centre on Saturday, 3rd June 2017 at 11.30 a.m. or thereabouts, immediately following the Council meeting.

Anyone wishing to attend may also attend the Council meeting, which starts at 10:00am.



  1. Apologies for absence  

  1. Minutes of the previous AGM held on 4th June 2016

  1. To elect a President

  1. To adopt the Annual Report and Accounts for year ended 30th September 2016

  1. To appoint an Independent Examiner for the Accounts in accordance with statutory requirements

  1. Any other business
