Medway BKA Annual Lecture, Saturday 13th March 2010

Time: 2.00 pm
Date: Saturday 13th March 2010
Speaker: Dr. Michael Keith-Lucas
Subject: Pollen in Forensic Science
Venue: Wainscott Memorial Hall, Holly Road, Wainscott, ME2 4LG.

Dr Keith-Lucas will show how pollen can be used in solving a wide variety of crimes, from honey fraud, theft of plants, firearms and other terrorist offences, rape and murder plus a few bits of botanical evidence such as fibres, wood, fungal spores and plant DNA. He will also include his most recent case at the Old Bailey.

Medway Beekeepers will as usual be supplying afternoon tea. Can you please give me an idea of numbers attending by no later than Friday 26th February as I think this is going to be a very popular lecture and we can only fit about 100 in the hall. This will also enable us to ensure that there is enough food and drink for everyone.
