Run your own courses

Would you like to run your own courses or develop your skills in training others?
KBKA have a number of sponsorships for those already running or wanting to run their own courses to study a new qualification aimed at people such as you.

It is called “Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector” and will help you develop the skills to deliver first class teaching including a practical session and give you confidence. The course is run at many Further Education colleges in Kent and Medway and normally takes 10 to 12 weeks either during the day or in the evening.

Provided you have sufficient knowledge of beekeeping we may sponsor you up to the full cost of the course. Typically £200-250. Contact our Secretary Terry Hardy for further details.

Most centres run this more than once a year. This is a current list but contact the college direct to confirm dates and that course is running.

The following towns have courses but there will be other locations as well.
Chatham, Covent Garden, Crawley, Dover, Eastbourne, Folkestone, Grays (Essex), Greenhithe (Bluewater), Greenwich, Lewes, Margate, Rochester, Tonbridge, Worthing.

To Apply - contact the Secretary of the Education group Terry Hardy and request an information sheet for details of the offer, courses available and an application form.
