The queen makes mating flight during her early life and stores the sperm from up to 20 drones that she collects on these flights. Drones that mate with her die in the act. She can store the sperm for up to 5 years.

Introductory Beekeeping Courses 2010

Ideal for potential beekeepers, those just interested and anyone who cares about the environment (No previous knowledge or experience required)

Two separate courses starting:

Thursday, 21st January and Saturday, 23rd January

Times: 10.00a.m - 12 noon

Venue:

RIVERSIDE COUNTRY PARK
LOWER RAINHAM ROAD
GILLINGHAM, KENT

Cost: £5.00 per session (refreshments included)
The courses are for 10 sessions plus 2 free practical sessions.
YOU do not have to be a Medway resident to take part.

Join BIBBA the Bee Improvement and Bee Breeding Association

Get involved in bee breeding. Like all other forms of life bees can be improved by selective breeding. BIBBA encourages beekeepers to work together in breeding groups.
