Honey Show Results 2009

Harvest Time
Bromley and Orpington beekeepers celebrated the successful end to the beekeeping year with their annual honey show held at Emmanuel Church in West Wickham. Throughout the day the hall was buzzing with visitors; children and adults enjoyed candle rolling, looking at the bees in the observation hive and tasting the honey from local producers.
Other stands at the show included John Cowan promoting his microscopy courses and Mike and Sue with their beekeeping courses and taster days.
A big thank you to the team of people that made the day a wonderful success.

The annual Bromley and Orpington honey show went off with a real buzz on the 19th September 2009. Having the refreshments in the main hall was a very good idea although it did mean Steve spent quite a bit of time going backwards and forwards with dirty/clean crockery and hot water.
Honey sales were good and the candles as popular as ever. I’m not sure whether we had more or fewer entries this year but it was good to see some new names on the list of entrants.
