Honey Show

Bromley and Orpington Honey Show Saturday 18th September 2010. Celebrate the end of the beekeeping season by showing your honey at the annual Bromley and Orpington Honey Show. Beekeepers from London and Kent compete for prizes with their honey, bee hive products, cake baking and confectionary. Venue: Emmanuel Church, The Grove, West Wickham, BR4 9JS. Monday, 30th August (Bank Holiday) 11.00am @ Cudham Village Fete (Next to the Blacksmiths Arms Pub and on recreation ground)

Sunday 5th September @ 11.30am Kent House Leisure Garden charity day and Apiary Meeting. Members open hives (depends on the weather) and talk about beekeeping, just turn up and introduce yourself. Refreshments provided.

Saturday 18th September Bromley & Orpington honey show at Emmanuel Church, The Grove, West Wickham, Kent, BR4 9JS. Doors open at 10am. Including FREE Introduction to beekeeping lectures. Morning and afternoon sessions: 11am - 12am & 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Show closes: 4:30pm.

Join BIBBA the Bee Improvement and Bee Breeding Association

Get involved in bee breeding. Like all other forms of life bees can be improved by selective breeding. BIBBA encourages beekeepers to work together in breeding groups. Much has been achieved but more could be done by beekeepers working together. Subs are £20 per annum and the Bee Improvement magazine is included in the subscription fee.
