Sunday 7th January 2018 - Bromley Beekeepers usual New Year (indoor!) BBQ. At the Allotment clubhouse at KHLG from 11.45 am for 12 noon. All Beekeepers welcome including Orpington and Westerham members.
Bromley Beekeepers Winter Lecture Series 2018
As usual, all lectures are on the third Tuesday of the month from January to April.
16th January - A talk about the Flow Hive which has been in operation locally for a year at Charlton academy school.
20th February - Dale Gibson from the Bermonsey Street Bees will give a talk on being a professional beekeeper in London.
20th March - Hopefully, there will be signs of spring by mid-March. Jim Vivian-Griffiths, a master beekeeper from Monmouth, will be talking on “Spring Management”. If you like Jim’s approach you can get more. He will be at Orpington Branch the following evening (21st March) when he will talk on “Swarming - opportunity or problem?”.
17th April - Roger Patterson with a talk on feral colonies he found in his locality.
All evenings will begin at 7.30pm.
Activities with bees is dependent on the weather. All apiary meetings are in the morning @ 11.30am on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from April - July. There will be no apiary meetings in the month of August. After that it's the 1st Sunday in September through to March. Refreshments provided.

Refreshments & Honey Tasting. Two FREE talks in the Hewitt Room - 11am "Bumblebees by Nikki Gammans” and 2.30pm “Beekeeping for Beginners".
