Get involved in bee breeding. Like all other forms of life bees can be improved by selective breeding. BIBBA encourages beekeepers to work together in breeding groups. Bromley 2013 Winter Course for Beginner Beekeepers Bromley Beekeepers (a branch of Kent Beekeepers Association) will be running another course for those contemplating a beginning in beekeeping. Whilst it is classroom based, there will be an emphasis on the practicalities of beekeeping, and how that relates to the activities and requirements of the bees themselves. The syllabus followed has been devised by the British Beekeepers Association.
Basic Success Taking the BBKA Basic Assessment of proficiency in beekeeping involves an hour of hive opening and verbal grilling.
