Bromley Beekeepers, a branch of Kent Beekeepers Association, will be running another course for those contemplating a beginning in beekeeping. Starting in the first week of March 2014, which is too early for the opening of hives, we'll obviously begin in a classroom setting.
Bromley 2013 Winter Course for Beginner Beekeepers
Bromley Beekeepers (a branch of Kent Beekeepers Association) will be running another course for those contemplating a beginning in beekeeping. Whilst it is classroom based, there will be an emphasis on the practicalities of beekeeping, and how that relates to the activities and requirements of the bees themselves. The syllabus followed has been devised by the British Beekeepers Association.
Taking the BBKA Basic Assessment of proficiency in beekeeping involves an hour of hive opening and verbal grilling.
Bromley BKA Beginners Beekeeping Course 2010
The course will follow the British Beekeepers Association syllabus “Introduction to Beekeeping”.
