Bromley Beekeepers' Association Beekeeping Course
Starting Date: Monday 1st February 2010 at 7.00 pm
Duration: 10 weeks (not including Monday 5th April).
Location: Dorset Road Allotments, Beckenham, BR3 4EA
Cost: £75.00
The course will follow the British Beekeepers Association syllabus “Introduction to Beekeeping”. It’s headings are:-
The colony
Queens
The hive
Pets and diseases
History
Bees, plants and hive products
Beekeeping year
Getting started
Swarms, etc.
which should give you some idea of what to expect. Towards the end of the course there may be an opportunity for some active beekeeping experience in the on-site apiary (subject to suitable weather conditions).
A text book will be issued to all participants.
