Bees'n'Beans Beginner Bee-keeping course 2010 Croydon

A 12-week course with 8 theory and 4 practical sessions, covering all aspects of bee-keeping. Two basic theory courses will be running concurrently: Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting 19th and 21st January.

Complete course notes, advice, and then in the autumn, a honey extraction day and reunion. £120

We aim to have no more than 8 people for each practical session, giving students ample practice-time with the hives. We also provide protective clothing for the practicals. After the course we are available for advice by phone or by email.

Join BIBBA the Bee Improvement and Bee Breeding Association

Get involved in bee breeding. Like all other forms of life bees can be improved by selective breeding. BIBBA encourages beekeepers to work together in breeding groups. Much has been achieved but more could be done by beekeepers working together. Subs are £20 per annum and the Bee Improvement magazine is included in the subscription fee. Bromley 2012 Winter Course for Beginner Beekeepers
Bromley Beekeepers will be running another course for those contemplating a beginning in beekeeping. Whilst it is classroom based, there will be an emphasis on the practicalities of beekeeping, and how tha relates to the activities and requirements of the bees themselves. The syllabus followed has been devised by the British Beekeepers Association.
