Tuesday 17th February “Beekeeping Around The World” Rudy Repka. Rudy is well known for his work with Sidcup Branch. He will be speaking on Queen Rearing at the forthcoming BBKA Spring Convention. However his travels have taken him far beyond Shropshire, and he will be contrasting beekeeping methods around the world, with particular emphasis on Turkey.

Get involved in bee breeding. Like all other forms of life bees can be improved by selective breeding. BIBBA encourages beekeepers to work together in breeding groups. The People at Horniman - Peter Springall, Beekeeper Peter Springall first visited the Horniman Museum as a child and became entranced by the bees and the clock tower. After the second World War, he decided to become a beekeeper himself and this sprightly nonagenarian is still keeping an eye on the bees at Horniman and entertaining youngsters with bee tales.
