Get involved in bee breeding. Like all other forms of life bees can be improved by selective breeding. BIBBA encourages beekeepers to work together in breeding groups. Basic Success Taking the BBKA Basic Assessment of proficiency in beekeeping involves an hour of hive opening and verbal grilling.
The People at Horniman - Peter Springall, Beekeeper Peter Springall first visited the Horniman Museum as a child and became entranced by the bees and the clock tower. After the second World War, he decided to become a beekeeper himself and this sprightly nonagenarian is still keeping an eye on the bees at Horniman and entertaining youngsters with bee tales.
